Objective:To evaluate whether orlistat, a widely used drug used for weight loss, can be administered at a fixed time. Method: A total of 12 obese patients who had been treated with orlistat for over 10 years for more than a year were enrolled and the efficacy of orlistat at the time of study administration was studied.

Results:The mean age of the study population was 35.6 ± 9.2 years. The mean weight of the patients was 53.5 ± 6.2 kg. The average initial body weight of the patients was 120 ± 7 kg. In the patients receiving the orlistat group, the average initial body weight was 527.9 ± 476.1 g.

Conclusion:Orlistat is an effective and well tolerated treatment for obesity. The safety of the drug was established by a meta-analysis of the data from the randomized controlled trial, which showed that orlistat was well tolerated in patients with obesity.
